St. Thomas' College of Engineering & Technology
Kolkata, West Bengal
Department of Computer Science & Engineering

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

Programming and Logic: Apply fundamental knowledge of mathematics (discrete mathematics), electrical and electronic engineering, and programming aptitude to identify and define the computing systems.

Design and Analysis: Analyze the mathematical foundations, algorithmic principles, computer science theory for the modeling, design of computing systems in a way that demonstrates the construction of software systems of varying complexity.

Applications of Computing: Be prepared to work professionally in software industries, able to achieve the higher studies and develop the modern tools and communicate the technical skills.

To comply with the department’s Program Specific Outcomes, the department of Computer Science and Engineering has four well equipped Laboratories.  These laboratories are well equipped with latest hardware’s, updated software’s and dedicated projectors. All the systems are connected by LAN with internet facility. Other than curriculum, the laboratories are also used for innovative projects and research work. Several in-house projects as well as projects for social initiatives have been developed by the students under the guidance of experienced faculty members. The department has one research/innovative lab and specialized project lab shared with Information Technology Department. Several publications in Journals, International and National Conferences by students and faculty members have taken place over the last six years, as a result of this initiative.
