General Information

4-year B. Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML) Programme with a foundation of Computer Science & Engineering prepares students with the skills to perform intelligent data analysis which is a key component in numerous real-world applications.

During the past ten years, AI & ML has emerged as one of the most fast growing, dynamic, and valuable careers in technology. This course aims at providing knowledge on not only the core technologies of Computer Science & Technology such as Data Structure & Algorithm, Automata, Operating System, DBMS, Compiler, Networking, Data mining and Data Modelling, Big Data Analytics but it also gives intensive inputs in areas of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Through this course, the students will gain cross-disciplinary skills across fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science and will have career opportunities in healthcare, business, e-commerce, social networking companies, climatology, biotechnology, genetics, and other important areas.

The major focus of this programme is to equip students with statistical, mathematical reasoning, machine learning, knowledge discovery, and visualization skills by inculcating latest technologies in these domains with an exposure to hands-on technologies to create applications and solutions for the real-world applications.

The graduates of the program will have job opportunities at leading firms in the country and abroad. They will also be able to pursue higher education and research at premier national and international universities with a great future in research.

The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning programme offered by the college involves laboratory practices and accordingly the department has set-up various hi-tech laboratories that help students develop real-time skills and abilities. The department provides extensive computing resources for research and education. This includes hardware, software, internet connectivity, & LAN. The laboratories are well equipped and supported by projection systems to conduct classes like C Programming Language, C++, JAVA, Python, Data Structures and Algorithms, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, Database Management Systems, Networking, Image Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Internet Technology, etc. All the laboratories have dual Operating Systems, namely, Windows along with Linux (Fedora Core). Daily performance evaluation in each of the laboratory is an important parameter that enhances the teaching-learning process. The department also has a specialized project lab where some more facilities are available like Android Studio, XAMPP, and many more. The students are also facilitated and encouraged to do self-learning and collaborative learning.
